Job History:
Since 8 Years until today responsible for the R&D Dept. Development of engine and gear components global tear one supplier; turnover of the unit 156 mio € in 2007 with 300 employees; thereof 45 in R&D:
Establishing of new business processes and improvement of already existing one by using the Six-Sigma method; participation in international development projects; responsible for technological leadership, product quality and decrease product costs; development of target costing system; development for joint venture in Brazil and Canada; strategic development planning; resource management; selection and purchasing of test facility equipment, machine tools and the equipment for the design and calculation dept; collaboration with different engineering dept. of the customers; co-operation with universities, research and teaching institutes; mentoring and supervision of master thesis
5 Years in R&D Dept. of a medium sized business of industrial power train industry; promotion to head of R&D after 22 months:
Development of brand new gearboxes for different application, mainly planetary gears for wind mill industry; gearboxes for the coal mining industry and cement and chemical industry; establishment of numerical method for simulation of dynamic behaviour of gearboxes in different applications; air- and structure born noise analysis; theoretic und experimentally modal analysis; establishment of machinery diagnosis for condition monitoring and quality insurance by using methods of vibration analysis; implementation of a FEA approach system for linear and non-linear estimation of stress; temperature development; natural frequency estimation of structures coming from 3D CAD; implementation PC-based measurement instrumentation incl. development of a measurement and monitoring software; large international experience; engagement in different associations
